How often do I need my chimney/flue sweeping?
- Bituminous - quarterly when in use
- Wood - quarterly when in use
- Smokeless fuel - at least once a year
Does chimney sweeping make a mess?
We use heap filter vacuums which allows us to contain most (if not all) of the soot dust. We use industrial clean dust sheets for every sweep.
Why do i need my chimney or flue sweeping?
This is to ensure the safe passage of potentially dangerous gases such as carbon monoxide. Not only that a regular sweep will make your appliance burn fuel more efficiently. It will also remove combustible materials such as creosote, soot, birds nests which may have accumulated.
How do we spot a problem?
We use a CCTV system which is easily inserted to detect damages or blockages. We will show you the video image and discuss the best course of action.
How much does it cost?

Will I receive any paperwork?
On completion of visit/sweep, a certificate of works is produced with guidance/advisories if needed. Some insurance companies insist on paperwork/certificate to prove your appliance has been swept.
Can we replace fire bricks, seal, ropes and glass?
Yes, we can replace these components to multi fuel stoves and log burners. We can replace all glass depending on the age of the appliance and type.
